Store Manager

Who we are:


We are a multichannel menswear retailer, headquartered in Oak Park, MI.


Our business model is unique in that it leverages our online inventory and staff for our in-store operation, enabling us to give our customers a shopping experience they won?t find elsewhere.


If you believe brick and mortar retail is dead, this position is not for you. If you need the structure and rules that the corporate world offers, this position will likely frustrate you.

Position Summary:


The store manager will oversee the in-store operations of our current brick and mortar store and will oversee growth as we look to expand.




Responsibilities:




  • Recruit new staff to take our business to the next level


  • Identify inefficiencies in current processes and develop improved processes


  • Maintain open communication and reporting with owner


  • Coordinate with retail staff and company buyer to ensure we are meeting customer needs and keeping up with industry trends


  • Work with owner to implement new sales and marketing initiatives






Role Qualifications:




  • Positive / can-do attitude


  • Excellent verbal communication


  • Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills


  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks simultaneously


  • Ability to react under pressure, use good judgment, and be flexible and adaptable as the situation requires


  • Retail / Operations management - 2-3 years + retail management, proven ability with monitoring inventory levels, achieving operational excellence, and driving a service culture and executing merchandising directives.


  • Proven track record of increased YOY sales


  • Proficient with basic technology (pos system, microsoft office)




You will enjoy autonomy, with the ability to implement your ideas and strategies to sustain the company growth and achieve goals.


There may be the opportunity to travel to industry trade shows a few times a year and meet with suppliers. If you?ve ever wanted to be exposed to many parts of a business (design, manufacturing, logistics, merchandising, sales, customer relations, human resources), this is your opportunity.

While an appreciation for fashion and retail experience is certainly an advantage, we?re looking primarily for sales and management experience.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
